Our church does prayer squares and quilts- they are given to people who are sick, have a lost a loved one, going through a crisis situation, etc. They are also given to people in the military when they deploy. The quilts are on the altar. We all go pray over them and tie knots in the strings that are left for that purpose. These are our dear friends, Joe & Amanda and their daughter Lexi. Joe is deploying in a few days. Watching them during this time was very moving.
