We think we found Joy Anna a place to live. I think it is like a fairy tale room. There is an arched bed nook and a gnarled tree outside the window. It is in a very old adobe house. The colors are soft and everything about it seems peaceful. I want to send her with a piece of art from mom that has that same feeling. I took a photo tonight of a sunflower. I played with it until I got this soft, peaceful feeling. SO very different from the way I usually enhance a photo- much more loud and fun. I think I like this, though.

July 30 - On the Road to Santa Fe

This is a monument in the middle of the desert. The rainbow was a nice touch. Yes, I did play with it some in photoshop. I was in an artistic mood. haha :)


This represents Joy Anna's new beginning here in Santa Fe- she is clocking in at mile marker 0 and has the whole world before her!

The Friendship Quilters make prayer squares and quilts- the loose strings are for people to tie knots when they pray over the square or quilt. They make them for military people, those who are hurting or sick, and people going on mission trips to just name a few. These are for those church members who are moving away from our congregation. We call them parting blessings!

Prayer Shawl Ministry has made over 500 squares to be used for afghans for aids orphans in South Africa. We have made over 100 shawls to be given out, as well.

This photo has no artistic value at all :) It does sort of represent a stage in our lives right now- This is in Joy Anna's room. She feels like she is sort of a blank puzzle right now - a few missing pieces - and a whole lot more waiting to be filled in.
